Learn how to make pillowy authentic Italian gnocchi with Chef Tyler in this interactive hands on cooking class. You will learn the trade secrets to making beautiful hand-formed gnocchi and the simple skill that will impress on how to make ricotta.

Chef Tyler will also teach you how to make a batch of soul warming pomodoro sauce made from fresh tomatoes or any canned crushed tomatoes from start to finish. Come learn how easy it can really be to make this classic Italian dish from scratch.  BUY TICKETS

Tapas is a way of life in Spain, typically meaning small bites at a bar. Come join us for a tour of tapas, as we take your taste buds on a journey through different areas of the world!
On our travels we will be covering dishes from Spain, Italy, America and Greece!
In this hands on cooking class each participant will be in a small group preparing one of the dishes to share with the class.

Experiment with Tequila & Mezcal, spirits native to Mexico. Learn about the agave plant, its uses and unique properties. Discover what separates agave based spirits from the rest. Learn proper cocktail technique with a complete set of bar tools at your disposal. You will create your own cocktails with guidance from our seasoned mixologist, Matthew Garofalo

When the sun stays out late, so should your cocktail game. Join us for an effervescent afternoon dedicated to the art of the spritz — that gloriously easy, endlessly riffable category of drinks that somehow makes every occasion feel like a rooftop in the Mediterranean.

We'll explore the building blocks of a great spritz, from classic Aperol and Campari to unexpected amaro and floral liqueurs — and learn how to balance bitter, sweet, and bubbly like a pro. Along the way, you'll discover which sparkling wines and sodas play best with your pours, how to build layers of flavor with fresh herbs and seasonal fruit, and why the right glassware and garnish are more than just pretty details.

In this class we will go over and discuss the history, origin, and rise in popularity of everyones favorite spirit, the basic differences between your favorite bourbon, scotch, rye, and every other category as well as what geographically affects whiskeys, their ingredients, distillation processes, and regional regulations. More importantly, these lessons will come with a whisky tasting in addition to you making your own whiskey drink as we discuss classic cocktails that have a big brown liquor influence and also some classic cocktails that you can make at home to impress your cocktail - loving friends.

PRIVATE COOKING CLASSES

Private and group cooking classes are available with 50 Local Chef David Ross & Chef de Cuisine, Tyler Laroche. Classes can be customized and catered to your interests and dietary needs or restrictions. Special courses can include: foraging for your own food and learning to create a meal with the ingredients, vegetarian or vegan dishes, pastry and desserts, Asian street food, local Maine favorites and more.

 

PRIVATE COCKTAIL CLASSES

Private & group cocktail classes are also available with our master bartender, Mat Garofalo.   Mat can teach you to impress your friends at home by showing you how to perfect the classics.  We can also customize the class around your interests.
