The Elective

The Elective is the brainchild of partners: Matthew Garofalo, Tyler Laroche, & Merrilee Paul. Located at 58 Main St in downtown Kennebunk adjacent to 50 Local, the Elective aims to give locals & visitors alike another reason to visit quaint Kennebunk. This is a space to flex our culinary creativity while providing a hands on cooking & cocktail experience. Classes will run weekly and are available for private groups as well. The dining room can be rented for private parties. The newly renovated space showcases a ceramic bar, upholstered banquettes, spanning windows overlooking downtown Kennebunk, and a fresh style curated by local designer, Nicki Bongiorno. The space opens to our retail shop featuring our own line of products that have been tried & true through our kitchen & bar at 50 Local. Look for fresh pasta, an array of pickles, fresh bread, homemade ice creams, sauces, & baked goods.  

Daily grab & go meals and snacks will change with seasons.  

From our bar, homemade bitters, brandied cherries, bitters soaked sugar cubes, syrups, and cocktail kits. In addition, hand picked gourmet food & drink inspired gifts and a boutique selection of wines, beer, and non alcoholic options.
